3. Don’t Punch a Shark in the Nose


You’ve almost certainly heard the myth that you can survive a shark attack by punching the shark in the nose or snout area.

There’s one big problem with this: It’s not going to work and will only make the shark angry and more aggressive.

Also, if you happen to miss the mark, your fist could easily end up in the shark’s mouth.

The truth is that most sharks have zero interest in attacking a human. If they do get into a tussle with you, they will most likely let go after one bite.

However, if necessary, you can defend yourself by punching or poking their eyes or gills.
