4. Don’t Eat Snow
You’re lost in the wilderness, your water cantina has long since run out and there’s no stream anywhere nearby.
And even if there was, you don’t have a way to reliably sanitize the water. Also, a big snowstorm hit yesterday, and it’s everywhere.
You’re beginning to dehydrate, so you reach for the snow, right? WRONG!
Unless you have a way to melt snow or ice before you ingest it, you will end up seriously lowering your body temperature. This will make your situation even worse and could kill you even quicker than dehydration.
