8. Shelve Your Pride for the Ultimate Goal
Princess Leia infiltrated Jabba’s Palace for one reason: to extract Han Solo. After she was captured and forced to put on a skimpy outfit for Jabba’s amusement, she could have easily allowed her pride to thwart the entire plan. Instead, she suffered a few indignities for the greater good, and all of the good guys made it out alive.
As a prepper, it is possible that you might encounter a situation that will force you to swallow your pride in order to obtain supplies or remain alive. Keep the greater good in mind, and also apply the lesson of remaining calm and improvising during this type of scenario. Remember: being too prideful could get you killed.
