The Upside-Down Fire Technique

The upside-down fire takes everything you know about building a fire and turns it literally upside-down. The largest pieces go on the bottom, and you will use smaller pieces of wood on each stack, ending with the tiny kindling sticks on the top. Doing this will give you a slow burning, low-maintenance fire, which will make it much easier to keep a fire going while you attend to other tasks.
