5. Assemble Your Dog’s Bug Out Bag
As long as you have a medium or large-sized dog, you can purchase a bug out bag that is made specifically for them to carry their own load! This may not fit everything your dog will need if you have to leave quickly, but it’s definitely a great way to share the responsibility of transporting everything.
The items that should be in any dog bug out bag include food, collapsible bowls, water boxes, a collar and leash, 50 feet of vinyl rope, dog toys, a lanyard with an attached glow stick and a thermal blanket. If possible, you will want to put the pet first aid kit in this bag as well.
