Navy SEAL Says Prepare Your Blackout Kit [VIDEO]

Of all the threats that the mainstream media has glossed over in the past year, perhaps the most alarming is the treat to our energy grid.

Not only have dozens of experts warned us about the fragile nature of the grid itself, but a recent low-tech attack on a California substation (one that knocked the station offline for 27 days) was barely a blip on the radar. I guess the networks would rather talk about figure skating…

As former Navy SEAL Christopher Heben explains in this video, it wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to bring the US power grid to its knees. In fact, the attack on the California substation, one that supplies Silicon Valley with strategically important electricity, was carried out with cable cutters and a couple of AK-47s.

The saboteurs simply showered the unguarded transformers with lead until they malfunctioned… What kind of idiot couldn’t carry out that attack?

Heben goes a step further, urging Americans to “stock up” on batteries, baby wipes, and biscuits…

If you haven’t taken a look at a few of my free checklists, I urge you to spend some time and use these resources to help create a backup plan that works for your household.

An event like the one in California could interrupt your power supply at any time. Virtually nothing is being done to secure the US electric grid from terrorism and/or sabotage. Not to mention, the grid already in disrepair due to it’s aging infrastructure.

Here are a few of my most relevant checklists (be sure to read the comments on each list for additional advice):

  1. We need armed guards around every power plant..i am sure veteran’s would volunteer to do this or other patriots…i know i would volunteer….seeing’s how this so called president does not see a problem with securing them..we need this so called fraud of a president out of office ..he is a traitor and terrorist that hates America

  2. Armed guards won’t stop an EMP attack. These sites need to be hardened. Easy to do. and cheeper in the long run.

  3. NELSON,

YOU HIT THAT NAIL ON THE HEAD!!!
    HOORAY FOR A TRUE AMERICAN!
HE HAS NO INTEREST IN PROTECTING
AMERICA OR OUR WAY OF LIFE!!!
    THANKS, BARRY G.

  4. Lead foil would do the trick to harden them, and it would be inexpensive since lead prices are in the toilet.

  5. Jen, I would not use that container for diinkrng or cooking. I would mark it and use it for flushing the toilets or cleaning the honey dew pots. So it is not a total loss in getting it.

  6. My grandson exhibited and explained four types of emergency “stoves” for his fifth-grade science project. The information seemed to be well received.
