Yet another EDC item that’s overlooked yet extremely vital is money, particularly coins and small bills.
Will you need to buy or barter for something in a serious crisis? Even if it’s a simple power outage where credit card machines are offline, having a little cold hard cash can be a lifesaver.
There are still many vending machines out there. You may not think of them in your day to day life, but if you are in need of food or bottled water in a pinch, you’ll certainly be glad you have a way to access it.
Dollar bills can also be used to pry open bottle caps. You just need to know the right technique (check it out here).
