4. Chickweed

Edible 4

Chickweed is typically viewed as an invasive species that is next to impossible to get rid of, but there are many reasons that you should encourage this plant to grow.

From a medicinal standpoint, chickweed has a high enough iron percentage to help treat an iron deficiency.

This plant can also be turned into a detoxing tea, and it may help reduce menstrual cramps and treat arthritis.

The leafy greens of this plant are very nutritious and will make a good addition to any salad. You can utilize the flowers and leaves by cooking them into soups and stews.
