9. Cold Water is Your Friend
Staying hydrated during a hot summer day is crucial, and it can help you feel cooler. Therefore, be sure to drink more cold water than usual during the dog days of summer.
You can also turn to water for many other cooling techniques, including taking a cold shower, putting your feet in a cold bucket of water, misting cool water on your face with a spray bottle and placing a cold cloth around your neck or on your forehead. All of these options will provide you with temporary relief, and they can also be utilized during a power outage.
