5. Sea Kale
You’re more likely to find this flowering leafy green vegetable on a beach than in the woods, but anyone who lives near a large body of water should definitely look for this edible way to save money the next time they are anywhere near the beach. Sea Kale is a relative of Kale, and the larger leaves are great in salad. However, some of these big leaves can become tough and bitter if you wait too long to harvest them. The tender shoots are often eaten raw and compared to asparagus.
