9. Splinter Removal
Tweezers are generally the most effective method for removing a splinter, but what happens if you do not have any on hand?
In some cases, tweezers also end up breaking the splinter in two, and it then becomes next to impossible to remove the rest of the painful wooden item.
In both of these situations, you can turn to baking soda as a good replacement for tweezers. Take a tablespoon of baking soda and add it to a cup of water.
Next, soak the afflicted area in this mixture. It may take a couple of days of repeated soakings, but most splinters will eventually fall out on their own.
