6. Makeshift Tick Removal Tweezers

Everyone knows that if a tick is attached to your skin, you need to remove it.

It makes sense to reach for a pair of tweezers in this instance, but what if you do not have any handy?

It is possible to use an open safety pin as a makeshift pair of tweezers, especially if you place the outside of the clasp area on one side of the tick and use the thinner section of the safety pin on the opposite side.

Pushing these two sides together and then pulling straight up in a smooth motion should remove the tick.
