Is it a Tick Bite?

In the vast majority of cases, you are going to know for certain whether or not a tick bit you. This is due to the fact that these bugs tend to stay attached to the skin for an extended period of time as they feed on their victim’s blood. Shockingly, ticks will even remain in the same spot for more than a week if they are not disturbed. However, if you notice a bite anywhere on your body that is similar to the one depicted in the image above, you have most likely served as a meal source for a tick.

Ticks prefer to feast in the moist, warm parts of the human body. Therefore, it is common to find them dining on or near a person’s hair, groin or armpits. In most cases, a tick will land on its intended victim and then migrate to a more desirable spot.
