Step One: Make Your Frame

You will need to assemble your frame out of the majority of your PVC pieces. Make sure that you carefully measure the window’s width and design a frame that has some overhang. In the example photos included with these directions, the frame was made to be 6’ wide in order to cover a 5’ window. You could also minimize this by about ½” if necessary, but a one foot overhang gives you some wiggle room. If you choose to make the overhang even wider, you may need to add additional brace supports to the finalized project. Once you have all of these pieces in place, simply dry fit them to ensure that everything is as desired.
