Perhaps you don’t have enough time to build something impressive or, even worse, you don’t have the right supplies. As long as you have a lightweight tarp, some rope or paracord and access to a few branches, you can quickly build an emergency shelter.

All you need to do is tie your tarp up, build a quick frame, insulate the ground (if it’s winter time) and then cover the outside back of the tarp with lightweight branches, twigs, leaves or whatever else you can find.

This won’t cave in if your frame is decent and you choose lightweight enough materials. What it will do, though, is provide insulation to keep you more protected from the cold, wind, rain and snow. Learn more by watching the video.
