4. Surgeon’s Knot

This knot was inspired by the Square Knot, and it is actually employed by surgeons when they need to tie off an open wound or incision.

We don’t recommend you take up amateur suturing as a hobby. This knot it actually very handing when it comes to securing cargo in everyday use.

 

The Surgeon’s Knot is relatively easy to tie, and it is best used in scenarios where you are joining together two ropes of unequal size.
