10. Mistletoe
People may think that kissing under the mistletoe is romantic, but this practice would most likely fall out of favor if everyone understood how dangerous this plant actually is.
The berries that grow with mistletoe are known to be fatal to children and adults, and you do not need to eat a lot of them become the next victim.
As you can see, flowers and berries are particularly dangerous, as is the foliage from a variety of plants.
Eating a large quantity of oak acorns can also be harmful, but the symptoms may not show up for weeks because this harmful item that masquerades as food delivers its poison gradually.

And, of course, so many mushrooms are toxic that they would require their own list. The safest course of action is to avoid all wild flowers, mushrooms and berries unless you are absolutely certain that you have encountered a safe variety.
