Eggshells being effective in strengthening teeth and make the mouth healthier is backed by a study from a school of dentistry in the Philippines. With numerous uses, patients found less build-up of plaque, and their tooth enamel to be much stronger. However, if you’re looking to do this correctly, you want to ensure that your eggs come from free-range chicken farms. The eggs should also be organic and free from antibiotics and other toxic chemicals. What follows is an excellent eggshell formulation:

Place eggshells in a pan of boiling water for approximately 5 minutes. This kills off any pathogens that may exist. Allow the shells to air dry. Once dried, grind them in a coffee grinder or food processor. To gain the full benefits, take approximately ½ teaspoon each day. Vitamin D in the form of sunlight can help in the absorption of calcium.

You can also make your own eggshell toothpaste by adding ¼ cup eggshells with 2 Tbsp. Coconut oil and 1 Tbsp. baking soda. A couple of drops of peppermint essential oil can make the product flavorful and pleasing to the palate.

Similar to the other recipe, simply rinse the shells and boil for 5 minutes. Allow the shells to air dry. Grind up the eggshells until they resemble a fine powder. Combine the other ingredients and add the coconut oil. The mixture will be smooth enough to store in a jar or plastic container.

You can also utilize a mixture made from water and a square inch of the comfrey root to speed along the regeneration process. Simply put this makeshift rinse in your mouth and swish it around for 20 minutes once a day to achieve the best results for your teeth and gums.
