3. Start a Fire with a Tampon
Many people assume that they have what it takes to start a fire in any situation, but the reality is that this is not nearly as easy as it sounds. So what happens if you find yourself unable to get a good fire going? With a tampon on hand, you can pull the cotton out and light it on fire. This will give you a good base to start from, and it will be much easier to build a small or even a large fire from this type of kindling.
If you have petroleum jelly with you, be sure to squirt a small amount on to the cotton and rub it into the fibers. This will slow down the burning process, which makes it even easier to create a larger fire from the tampon base.
