1. Choose Your Location
Look for a spot that’s likely to go unnoticed, such as in a low traffic area or behind a piece of furniture. In the event that you have several different types of plates in the same area, as in the nearby photo, another blank plate would easily go unnoticed.
Use your stud finder to pick a spot between two studs. Keep in mind that with an existing wall gang box, you won’t need to nail into a stud at all, which makes things much easier.
