5. Baking Soda Can Reduce the Recovery Time

People use baking soda paste for everything from dealing with bee stings to stopping dog nails from bleeding after the quick has been cut.

Therefore, it is no surprise that this mixture can be beneficial for a rash that has been caused by poison oak, sumac or ivy.

Mix one teaspoon of water with three teaspoons of baking soda to create a paste that will naturally help remove toxins from your skin. This home remedy will also temporarily relieve the itching sensation.

Alternatively, you can put one cup of baking soda into a cool bath and soak in it to get some relief.
