2. Turkey Tail
If you’re in North America, the odds are good that you’ll be able to find the turkey tail mushroom. This is good for a number of reasons, including cancer prevention and treatment.
Of course, if you have access to regular medical care, you should always follow your doctor’s cancer treatment program. However, the FDA has approved turkey tail trials, and the results indicate that it has the potential to be a powerful anti-tumor agent.
In other words, combining turkey tail with an existing treatment plan could be very beneficial. And if society crumbles, turkey tail might give cancer patients a chance to survive or extend their lives.
Other reasons to look for this mushroom include its anti-bacterial, antioxidant, anti-viral and immune enhancing properties. Turkey tail earned its name due to the alternating colors that make them look similar to a turkey’s tail. This medicinal mushroom can be found almost all year long, and it will still be noticeable in the wintertime.
