3. Huge Hail
You shouldn’t stop to admire the hail if a big storm suddenly halts and everything becomes quiet, but taking a quick glance at it will help you further determine if a tornado may be on its way.
Large hail often accompanies a tornado, and it’s common for it to be at least the size of a golf ball. Of course, this doesn’t mean that if the hail is small, you’re in the clear.
But it does make it easier to tell from a glance whether or not the risk of a tornado is higher than usual.
