2. Create the Water Containment System
Now it is time to line the depression in the soil that you previously created with a poly liner. You can attach the liner to the corners of the box with galvanized roofing nails, but be sure to leave the lowest corner unattached for any excess water run-off.
After the liner is in place, you will be ready to prepare part of the corrugated drainage pipe. The pipe should be 4” in diameter and include small holes all throughout it to enable the water to escape. Put a cap on each end of the pipe, and drill a hole through one of these caps that is large enough to insert a PVC pipe. This pipe will be used to fill the system with water.
After this process has been completed, you will put rocks on top of the liner and lay the corrugated drainage pipe into the depression.
