You’ve just asked an important question, and all of the sudden the other person becomes fixated on grooming or improving their physical appearance or the nearby area.

A man might straighten his tie or a woman may push her hair behind her ears. Alternatively, nearby objects that were not an issue five seconds ago are now being cleaned up or adjusted to look slightly different.

This type of nervous fidgeting is commonly used by people who are lying. Additionally, there is a high probability that someone who takes the time to wipe their brow while answering a question is not being truthful.

Of course, this may not count if you are outside on a hot day.
