7. Rationing and Canning are Wise Decisions
People tend to increase their food consumption when they have a decent supply on hand, but this is not a good decision to make during any type of disaster. After all, what happens if the local area is not back to normal as quickly as you think it will be? Also, what if your next batch of garden vegetables is ruined? Canning and rationing are both techniques that you should take advantage of until the crisis passes.
