SOG AE06-CP Aegis Knife
SOG’s AE06-CP Aegis knife has a 3.5 inch straight blade that is super sharp and ready to use as soon as you open the box. The most notable feature of this knife (and the thing that makes it one of our favorites) is that it has a loading mechanism that springs the blade open with the push of a button.
It’s not a “switch blade” and doesn’t fall under the same prohibitions, but the experience is much the same. And you can use the piston lock for a safer experience.
The handle has a camo finish and is made from glass-reinforced nylon. There is a pocket clip and anti-slip rubber inserts to enable you to retain your grip during rainy or sweaty situations. Please note that you may need to adjust the pivot to reduce unwanted side to side play. The list price is $120, but the Aegis is available online for less than $70.
