5. Build Your Foundation
There are just as many foundation types as there are shipping container home designs, which makes it critical to carefully consider your options and needs.
Some people will add a basement or build off of a concrete base, while others will use foundation piers. Whichever you foundation you choose, make sure that it is strong enough to hold your shipping container(s).
