There are numerous things that will keep your dog happier and safer, and it is wise to stock up on them.

A solid leash is a good example, but do not expect one leash to last forever. Keeping one easily accessible and another in your dog’s bug out bag is a good start.

You should also consider getting a good pair of dog nail trimmers and a brush to provide your pet with basic care.

Stainless steel bowls are the best for providing food and water, and be sure to get at least two dog toothbrushes and some toothpaste.

Keep in mind that you should also pick up and properly dispose of your dog’s waste, especially if you are near your house or shelter. The Doggie Dooley Septic Tank is very helpful, as are basic dog waste bags.
