Mini ScissorsRubbing alcohol is a fairly strong disinfectant and can be used to sterilize any instruments that make come in contact with exposed wounds in a SHTF emergency.

Anything you can do to decrease the risk of an infection is well worth doing during everyday circumstances. This is even more true in a crisis situation where medical attention isn’t readily available.

Here’s the trick. Alcohol can kill most bacterias effectively, as long as it’s concentrated enough (70% isopropyl or higher) and it has enough time to work its magic.
