4. Use the No-Cook Method for Fish
You have already learned how to cook meat in a beer cooler, but are you also interested in using the no-cook poaching method for your fish? If so, simply use the following directions:
1. Bring water to a boil inside a kettle. The perfect temperature for using the no-cook method is typically 210 to 220 degrees Fahrenheit. This is especially beneficial for poaching delicate fish such as bass, snapper and cod.
2. Place the fish into a pan.
3. Pour the water into the pan. Make sure the fish becomes submerged in water.
4. Use aluminum foil or a lid to cover the pot.
In most cases, the fish will be ready to eat in only 10 to 12 minutes. However, you can leave the fish in the water for a few more minutes without worrying about it becoming overdone.
