History of Extractions
For about the last 50 years, the aim of modern dentistry was to save as many of the patient’s teeth as possible. Until recently, the main treatment for a diseased tooth was removing it. If there is a societal collapse, we’ll probably return to that type of treatment.
Tooth extraction is not an enjoyable experience as it is and will be less so in a long-term survival situation with no power and limited supplies.
Before we go any further, though, remember: In non-apocalyptic situations it is illegal to practice dentistry without a license. With that piece of information out of the way, here’s some of the instructions for pulling that bad tooth that is plaguing you during a doomsday scenario.
