As you can see from the above image, the construction of these containers is very simplistic. Alternatively, you may be able to find a 4’x6’ box that has already been made. Again, be sure to use untreated wood if you will be growing vegetables. This is for the health and safety of your family. If you are unsure how to build a box, you can easily find several resources online. The box in the example has been painted, but pressure treated wood was not used.

Once the box has been completed, you will want to form a depression. It is best to dig about 4” into the soil. Digging deeper will give your raised bed wicking garden the ability to hold even more water.
