What Does Poison Ivy Look Like? ivy1

You’ve probably heard the saying “leaves of three, leave it be,” and this is a good basic guideline. However, poison ivy can blend into the environment, and it can also be found on the ground, growing up the side of a tree or as a bush that will be up to four feet tall.

The best way to avoid this plant is to stay on the path and not allow any part of your body or clothing to brush up against any leaves or trees. Keep in mind that these almond shaped leaves can change colors, so they might be green, red or orange-green.

This plant is very prevalent nationwide, and it can be found in every U.S. state except for California, Hawaii, Alaska and Oregon.
