2. DIY Windshield De-icer
Icy windshields are a huge pain, especially when you’re in a hurry. You can break that ice up much faster with a little rubbing alcohol and some resourcefulness.
Make your own windshield deicer by mixing 2 parts 70% (or higher) isoprophyl alcohol with 1 part water in a spray bottle.
Spray this solution on your iced over windshield liberally and watch the ice release its, umm, icy grip.
Straight rubbing alcohol works just as well, however over time it may damage rubber gaskets and/or dull you car’s paint.
Obviously, this works with windows around your home as well as car windows.
