4. Layer Your Clothing
When given the option between wearing a large, bulky sweater or a long sleeved-shirt, covered by a t-shirt and topped with a hoodie, it is almost always going to be better to choose the latter option.
This is because layering your clothing provides your body with a better source of insulation. You can also put a thin pair of gloves and socks on that are then covered with a larger pair. Be sure to keep most of your face hidden behind a scarf as well, especially if it is so cold in your home that you can see your breath.
