5. Turn on Your Oven for Short Periods of Time
Have you ever noticed how much warmer your kitchen gets when you are baking? If you are fortunate enough to have a gas stove that still works when the electricity is out, you can heat up your kitchen for short periods of time.
However, it is critical to be aware that this could lead to carbon monoxide issues or even a fire if you are not careful. If you do not have anything being cooked in the stove, you should keep your warm up sessions to the normal preheating time of 15 minutes. Fortunately, doing this will give everyone the chance to temporarily warm up by a few degrees.
