1. Remove Splinters with the Protective Blend
Splinters may not usually be life-threatening, but they can seriously diminish your capacity to use the affected area without experiencing a lot of unnecessary pain. It is also important to note that anyone who does not have an up-to-date tetanus shot does run the rare risk of dying from an infection if the splinter is not removed quickly.
Unfortunately, tweezers do not always work. The good news is that the Protective Blend, which is also known as Thieves, is an essential oil mixture that makes the entire process much easier. Simply place one to two drops on top of the splinter, and it will rise up from the skin within two minutes. At this point, tweezers will make it easy to pull the splinter out.
There are manufacturers that sell the Protective Blend, but you can also make your own by using the following recipe:
· 5 Drops of Rosemary Oil
· 8 Drops of Eucalyptus Oil
· 10 Drops of Cinnamon Bark Oil
· 18 Drops of Lemon Oil
· 20 Drops of Clove Oil
Place this essential oil mixture in a dark glass container for safekeeping. Before using the Protective Blend on your skin, you should dilute it with a carrier such as sweet almond oil or fractioned coconut oil.
