7. Check Your Vents
Vents are another source of heat loss that need to be dealt with. Have you made sure they’re all properly functioning and well-sealed? You can also put an air vent deflector on the top of your vents to ensure that the hot air is pushed in the desired direction.
This is especially useful for vents that are located high on the wall because otherwise there’s a lot of heat loss from the hot air rising. Additionally, you can put magnetic vent covers over all the vents you’ve closed off to prevent any air leakage.
Be sure to check any exterior vents just as closely. These pipes need to be in good shape to keep the rest of your vent system working up to its full capacity.
